🍇 Alexandre Jouveaux: The Art of Chardonnay in Burgundy
A former fashion photographer at Chanel, Alexandre Jouveaux left Paris in 1996 to settle in Uchizy, in the Mâconnais region of Burgundy. He cultivates around 2.5 hectares of old Chardonnay vines, spread across small, secluded plots often surrounded by forest.
🌿 Philosophy
Natural winemaking: no filtration, no additives, little to no sulfur.
Manual work, respect for nature, biodynamic principles.
Tiny production, each cuvée is a unique expression.
🍷 Wine Style
Bright, tense whites, sometimes with subtle oxidative notes.
