🍷 Domaine Belluard: Gringet at the Peak of the Alps

Located in Ayze, Haute-Savoie, Domaine Belluard is a gem of the alpine vineyard. Founded by visionary winemaker Dominique Belluard (who passed away in 2021), the estate became the leading ambassador of the rare native grape Gringet, grown on steep slopes at 450 meters altitude. Since 2001, the vines have been farmed biodynamically on complex soils of limestone scree, red clay, and glacial sediments.

🌿 Philosophy

  • Certified biodynamics, respect for life and alpine terroirs.

  • Natural vinification, native yeasts, long aging in concrete eggs or large oak casks.

  • Pure expression of Gringet, a rare and endemic grape.

🍇 Grapes and Style

  • Mainly Gringet, with some Mondeuse.

  • White wines that are vibrant, mineral, taut—sometimes sparkling.

  • Signature cuvées: Les Alpes, Le Feu, Eponyme, Grandes Jorasses, Perles du Mont Blanc.
