👨‍🌾 History and Family

  • Established in the early 20th century in Gevrey-Chambertin (Côte de Nuits, Burgundy).

  • Now run by Loïc Dugat-Py, 13th generation of winemakers.

  • Recognized as one of Burgundy’s most prestigious Pinot Noir producers.

📍 Location and Terroir

  • Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, with plots across several Côte de Nuits appellations.

  • Vineyard size: about 10 hectares.

  • Appellations: Gevrey-Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin, Chambertin Grand Cru, plus Premiers Crus and village wines.

  • Very old vines, some over 90 years old.

🌱 Philosophy and Practices

  • Organic and biodynamic viticulture, no herbicides or chemical fertilizers.

  • Very low yields, manual harvests, strict grape selection.

  • Natural vinifications, long aging in oak barrels (often new), producing powerful, profound wines.
