Domaine des Grottes
🍷 Domaine des Grottes: Natural Wine and Biodiversity in Beaujolais
Located in Saint-Étienne-des-Oullières, in the heart of Beaujolais-Villages, Domaine des Grottes has been run by Romain des Grottes since 2001. On 6.5 hectares of biodynamically farmed vines (certified organic since 2006), he produces natural wines with no added sulfites, fruit juices, medicinal plants, and grains. The estate shares its land with an organic vegetable grower and favors herbal teas over chemical inputs. Each cuvée is a living experiment, often co-fermented, with a strong commitment to biodiversity and agroecology.
