Gabrio Bini
🍷 Gabrio Bini – Serragghia: Volcanic Natural Wine and Island Radicalism from Pantelleria
A former Milanese architect, Gabrio Bini moved to the volcanic island of Pantelleria in the 1990s, located between Sicily and Tunisia. There, he founded Azienda Agricola Serragghia, a 8-hectare estate (4 hectares of vines), now run with his son Giotto. Grapes include Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria), Catarratto, Pignatello, Carignan, Pinot Noir, and Nero Mascalese. Wines are made without additives or sulfur, with long skin contact and aged in buried amphorae (dolias). Each cuvée is a wild, vibrant interpretation of the volcanic terroir.
