🍇 Gilvesy Pincészet: Volcanic Elegance by Lake Balaton

Founded in 2007 by Canadian-born Róbert Gilvesy, Gilvesy Pincészet is located on the slopes of Mount Szent György (Saint George), an ancient volcano overlooking Lake Balaton in Hungary. This unique terroir, rich in basalt and wind-blown dust, imparts remarkable minerality to the wines. The estate farms around 23 hectares, including 16 on Saint George Hill, certified organic since 2016. Indigenous varieties like Olaszrizling, Furmint, and Rajnai Rizling are crafted with precision, using stainless steel or oak barrels, with minimal intervention.
