Founded in 2019 by Maxime Barrot, Domaine Jean Max is based in Charnay, in the heart of Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées. Influenced by natural wine icons like Yvon Métras, Roberto Henriquez, and the Bret Brothers, Maxime farms around 4 hectares organically (uncertified), with a hands-on, intuitive approach. He focuses on Gamay, vinified without additives, no added sulfur, and no filtration. His cuvées, often labeled as Vin de France, are known for their finesse, vibrant fruit, and joyful drinkability.
