🍷 Joe Swick – Swick Wines: Raw and Joyful Natural Wines from the Pacific Northwest

Based in Newberg, Oregon, Joe Swick is one of the leading figures in the American natural wine scene. After spending a decade making wine in France, Italy, Portugal, and Australia, he launched Swick Wines in 2013. He doesn’t own vineyards but sources grapes from organic and biodynamic growers in the cool climates of Oregon and Washington State. His philosophy is to make wines “as naked and raw as possible,” with no additives, no commercial yeasts, no fining or filtration, and little to no sulfur. He favors fresh, acidic, drinkable wines—often skin-contact or pét-nats. His cuvées are playful, expressive, and full of energy.
