Le Coste
🍷 Le Coste: Volcanic Natural Wine and Radical Biodiversity in Lazio
Founded in 2004 by Gian Marco Antonuzi and Clémentine Bouveron, Le Coste is a natural wine estate located in Gradoli, on the shores of Lake Bolsena in Lazio, Italy. On these volcanic soils, the couple replanted abandoned plots using traditional methods—high-density planting and in-place grafting. The vineyard is farmed biodynamically, with no chemical inputs and a strong focus on biodiversity. Winemaking is fully natural: no added sulfur, no filtration, and aging in vats, amphorae, or neutral wood. Le Coste produces vibrant, living wines, often labeled as Vino da Tavola, that freely express the character of the land.
