Founded in 2019 by Abe Schoener, a former philosophy professor turned winemaker, Los Angeles River Wine Company is a bold urban winery located in the heart of Los Angeles. After leading the Scholium Project in Northern California, Abe moved south to explore the forgotten wine history of the region. The winery sources grapes from partner vineyards across California (Lodi, Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino…) and vinifies them with minimal intervention—no additives, no sulfur, and a strong experimental edge. Each wine reflects the vibrant, rebellious energy of Los Angeles.
