Maison Moritz Prado
🍷 Maison Moritz Prado: Free-Spirited, Mineral-Driven Alsace Wines
Founded in 2018 in Albé, in the Villé Valley of Alsace, Maison Moritz Prado is the creation of Ghislain Moritz, a native Alsatian winemaker, and Angela Prado, a Colombian wine enthusiast. Together, they farm 4.85 hectares organically on steep slopes between 400 and 500 meters altitude—among the highest vineyards in Alsace. The schist soils give the wines remarkable minerality and freshness. Vinification is parcel-based, with no additives or added sulfites, and aging takes place in stainless steel tanks, oak barrels, or sandstone amphorae. Their wines are unfiltered, vibrant, and expressive, driven by a quest for freedom and identity.
