Meinklang
🍷 Meinklang: Austrian Biodynamic Wine at the Heart of a Living Ecosystem
Located in Pamhagen, eastern Burgenland, near Lake Neusiedl, Meinklang is a family-run estate that exemplifies biodynamic farming. Managed by the Michlits family, the farm spans over 200 hectares, including 55 hectares of vineyards, and operates as a closed-loop polyculture: ancient grains, orchards, Angus cattle, beer and honey production. The vineyards are treated as living gardens, surrounded by meadows, hedges, natural ponds, and cover crops that foster biodiversity. Winemaking is natural, with standout cuvées like Graupert (from unpruned vines), Konkret (aged in concrete), and Mulatschak (a fruity, fizzy glou-glou wine).
