🍷 Phelan Farm / Brij Wines: California Natural Wine Bridging Coastal Terroir and Alpine Experimentation

Located on California’s San Luis Obispo coast, Phelan Farm is the visionary project of Rajat Parr, a celebrated sommelier turned winemaker. The estate grows European varieties (Savagnin, Mondeuse, Poulsard, Trousseau, Mencía…) on sandy and granitic soils in a cool, oceanic climate. The winemaking is radically natural: no sulfur, no filtration, native yeasts, aging in old barrels. The wines are precise, vibrant, and inspired by the Jura and northern Spain. Alongside, the Brij Wines label features cuvées made from purchased organic grapes, vinified with the same artisanal philosophy. Together, they form a bold, free-spirited expression of California’s coastal terroir.
