Philippe Jambon
🍷 Philippe Jambon: Beaujolais Natural Wine Rooted in Radical Craft and Honest Expression
Based in Chasselas since 1997, on the border of Beaujolais and Mâconnais, Philippe Jambon is one of France’s most committed natural winemakers. A former sommelier trained in Jura and Switzerland, he discovered natural wine during a dinner in Lausanne and changed his life. He farms around 4 to 5 hectares organically, choosing isolated plots to avoid chemical drift. His winemaking is radical: zero additives, zero sulfites, native yeasts, no filtration. Some cuvées are aged for years (up to 99 months!), others are made from purchased organic grapes in collaboration with friends. His wines are alive, deep, often unconventional, and always sincere.
