Tenuta Grillo
🍷 Tenuta Grillo: Natural Piedmont Wine Rooted in Terroir, Patience, and Depth
Located in Gamalero, Monferrato (Piedmont, Italy), Tenuta Grillo has been run by Guido and Igiea Zampaglione since 2003. The estate spans 32 hectares, with 17 dedicated to vineyards cultivated organically without chemical inputs. Grapes include Barbera, Dolcetto, Freisa, Merlot, and Cortese. Yields are low, harvests are manual, and winemaking is slow and traditional, with extended macerations and long aging. The wines are powerful, deep, and built for aging, reflecting a peasant vision of wine rooted in soil and time.
