🍷 Voï Vignes – Jason Ligas: Greek Natural Wine from Rocky Slopes and Artisan Revival

Voï Vignes is the personal project of Jason Ligas, a Greek winemaker trained in France, including with Jacques Selosse in Champagne. Located on the rocky slopes of Mount Olympus in the Rapsani region (Central Macedonia), he farms 8.5 hectares of vines aged 15 to 100 years, between 250 and 800 meters altitude. The estate focuses on native grapes like Xinomavro, Krassato, and Stavroto, sometimes blended with Syrah. Viticulture is manual, with no machinery or chemical inputs, and winemaking is natural — no filtration, no added sulfites. “Voï” means “voice” or “roar” in ancient Greek, evoking the spirit of the rocks and the land.

🌿 Philosophy

  • Handcrafted viticulture on poor, rocky soils.

  • Preservation of local grapes and Rapsani traditions.

  • Natural winemaking, unmasked, in small batches (8000–12000 bottles/year).

🍇 Grapes and Style

  • Xinomavro, Krassato, Stavroto, Syrah.

  • Red, white, rosé wines, sometimes oxidative.

  • Signature cuvées: Hymnos, Voï Rouge, Voï Rosé, Voï Blanc.
